Kirby Kids is a brand new, not-for-profit, early childhood education center with a developmentally age appropriate morning program from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages three to five. Located inside the beltway in McLean, VA, our campus is a sprawling three acres and includes new vibrant classrooms, teacher resource room, multi-purpose art room, large indoor and new outdoor play spaces and a supportive administrative staff and congregation.
We are now hiring qualified, dedicated, reliable, loving teachers and assistants. The Kirby Kids staff should embrace our Christian core values of:

Teacher qualifications: Bachelor's degree in education, early childhood development, psychology or similar or CDA. Those working towards these qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis. One year previous professional child care experience including curriculum planning and development required.
Assistant qualifications: Twelve (12) credits in child development, education, early childhood, psychology or similar. Six (6) months previous professional child care experience required.
All staff will be expected to attend a two day Orientation August 26-27. Daily schedule is 8:30am - 1:00pm Monday - Friday. Salaries begin at $12.00/hour for Teachers and $9.00/hour for Assistants based on education and experience. Teachers will also receive two (2) paid planning hours per month; Assistants will receive one (1) paid planning hour per month. All required trainings are paid for. Free staff parking available on-site.
IMPORTANT: Minimum commitment of September through mid-June REQUIRED. If you cannot commit to a full school year, please do not apply. We are dedicated to providing a top-notch, wonderful staff for our children and require full staff commitment to ensure we meet this high standard!

About the Church: New Life at Westmoreland Community was established in 1978. Today we are a newly merged congregation with a contemporary atmosphere of worship and teaching. We desire to be a support and service to our congregation and community.
